Cooper's Sleepover

Our Christmas break ended up not being much of a break. The day after Christmas Cooper was going back to his tired, lathargic self (this has become pretty common over the last 10 weeks). Then on Sunday he started to get a fever and started feeling pretty terrible really fast. On Monday they sent him to get blood tests done and the next day he was only getting worse and was unable to move his neck. On Wednesday morning, we got a call that Cooper needed to be admitted to the hospital because of high blood counts. Cooper had 20 pokes 4 blood draws, a mucus draw and a CT scan that day. IT WAS NOT FUN! He was a trooper. On Thursday they sent Cooper home because the problems were coming from viruses that Cooper's body just doesn''t like. He came home with a load of presents from nurses, and horror stories to tell his brothers.

Cooper spent a few more days with fever and not getting out of bed, but as of yesterday there are significant improvements in his condition. He is moving his neck and the fevers have really gone down. We are so happy about that, and can't wait for his full recovery! Thank you for all the prayers, fasting, babysitting and well wishes on his behalf.

Our Merry Christmas 2009

Dylie liked Cooper's tent where presents were hiding.
Jackson and his skateboard. That is what he wanted Santa to bring more than anything. I think the IPOD ended up being the favorite, though.

Sam and his DS games. We knew what he wanted and that he would love it.

Cooper and the ever-so-wanted garbage truck. He was right...Santa did have one (he had to get it from a company in Germany).

My four greatest joys waiting to break through the paper into Christmas land!

AFV

My boys absolutely love watching the show AFV. It is on after school and they love to watch it. They are just glued to the T.V. and I love hearing how hard they laugh. Well, the other day Dylie got up from her nap and I threw her on my bed while she woke all the way up. I came back to the room when I heard her just belly laughing. There she was, hands tucked under her chin, watching AFV and just laughing as hard as a toddler can laugh. Her brothers ways are truly rubbing off on her.

A Cousins Christmas

The kids had their annual Christmas Cousins party with Papa and Nana. It has become a favorite tradition, where Nana and Papa and just the grandkids get together and party! This year they had a craft project, and ate pizza. Then they were off to see Brooklynn's dance performance and see the lights. I think the sleepover is the favorite part, though. Every year Nana and Papa give them a bedtime gift, and this year it was robes. THEY ARE SO CUTE, and the kids like wearing them all the time, they even sleep in them. Christmas time is so much fun when you have great family to share it with. Thank you to Nana and Papa for a magical Christmas!

Serving the troops

Last week, the cub scouts of our ward participated in a service project. They collected supplies for the Marines in Afghanistan. The Marines will use these items to give to the afghans. It helps build relationships of trust. Some days being the primary president is the best job, and this was one of those days. I was touched at all the supplies that the people in the neighborhood donated. The kids were excited to box stuff up and make cards.

I am so grateful for the men and women who put themselves on the front lines to protect our great country. It was wonderful to be able to help, even in our very small way. I am so pleased with my primary kids and the efforts that they went to.
God bless our soldiers and our country.

Heavensent Friends

Alli Mower and her boys
Mindy June and Aiden

My little Dylan

Mindy and Aiden, Jenna and Dylan, Alli and Tyler, MaryAnn and Dayton

The day before Thanksgiving I was able to get together with my three of my dearest friends. These 3 have been a big part of my life for many years, and they continue to be an important part of my life. We wanted to take this picture because we all had babies within weeks of each other. For some it's the first and for some the last, but we had babies together just like we said we would. It's funny because we are all "boy moms", until my little Dylan turned out to be the one girl in the bunch.
To Mindy, Alli, and Mare....
Thank you for the good friends you have always been, for the constant support and strength you have been to me in the good times and the bad. You are all such good women and good examples and I love you all so much! Thanks for taking time to get together!

I was out shopping with my toddlers yesterday. The stores are all decorated for the pending "black friday". All Cooper wants for Christmas this year is a garbage truck. Every time we go to a store he makes me go to the toy section to see if there is a garbage truck...there never is. So this it the conversations yesterday...

Cooper: I need to wite a wetter.
Mom: Why?
C: Santa have a garbage truck!
M: He does?
C: Yep. I will wite a wetter and on Quismas, Santa will come and I open it and YAY! A GARBAGE TRUCK! And I will pway wif it!

Let me tell you Santa really had to search to find the garbage truck!
